OK, so I realize I've been off the grid for a while, but let me bring you up to speed. I came down to St Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands for a tour this past summer and fell in love with the place. Great people, beautiful scenery, and LOTS of music lovers. Long story short, I had the opportunity to come down for the tourist season and play as much as I wanted. Kind of a no brainer when my other option was hitting the road in the winter time back in the states....Chains on the tires and 10 car pile-ups on I-70 or playing to different crowds of tourists every night, on the beach, barefoot...like I said, kind of a no-brainer. So here I am, January 26th, sitting here outside with Farras (who has become quite a popular little island girl herself) deciding whether or not I should go to the gig early tonight and go surfing before load in. Yes this job does have it's perks. I'm also working on writing for the new album, which s coming along well. Right now it looks like I'll be releasing an acoustic record soon, followed by a full production album this fall. I'll be staying down here until season ends and then trekking back up to the mainland for a summer tour that is shaping up to be a big coast to coast type run including (but not limited to) stops in Nashville, Indy, Chicago, Minneapolis,Madison, Ann Arbor, New York, Boston, Philly, Baltimore, Frederiksburg, Myrtle Beach, Lincoln, Denver, Falgstaff, Phoenix, Orange, L.A., San Francisco, Portland, and Seattle. I've been plagued by computer problems as of late but it's all systems go now so stay tuned for more updates, and that SPCA video I've been promising!! Be well, and see ya'll soon
